BASIL “BILL” TRIKAS | Sr Vice President

Mr. Trikas has 34 years intelligence community experience and knowledge of technical systems, operational tradecraft, deployment methodologies, and integrated learning solutions. He brings to Abraxas extensive experience leading technical, operational, and analytical organizations in support of the global intelligence community. Mr. Trikas served in critical roles shaping the strategic intelligence workforce directing recruiting and diversity outreach, learning and employee development, leadership development, language training, and historical studies. Mr. Trikas holds a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. He is also a graduate of the Intelligence Community Senior Leadership Program, the Intelligence Community Senior Intelligence Fellows Program, and the Harvard Senior Managers in Government program.

 

MITCH HERNDON | Director, Government Services

Mr. Herndon brings more than 20 years of operational and leadership experience in Government Programs to Abraxas Corporation. Prior to joining Abraxas, Mr. Herndon served as Vice President, Business Development for TechOp Solutions International Inc., Director, Operations Center and Continuity Programs (TAIC), Senior Analyst (CACI) to the Assistant Secretary for Homeland Defense (OSD), and Program Manager for the FEMA Continuity of Government (COG) program (Northrop Grumman). Mr. Herndon retired from the Army with 27 years of distinguished service, 22 of which were in Special Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Methodist University, and a MBA from National Louise University.

 

LAURA WELSH | Director, Technology Solutions & IT Services

Ms. Welsh has over 16 years of experience leading teams in the design and development of systems and data solutions for customers across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and Department of Homeland Security. She brings to Abraxas her track record of building high-performing teams and collaborative customer partnerships to solve the customers’ most complex problems. The systems she has developed support an array of missions and customer needs including ingest, management, analysis and visualization of data, business process and workflow automation, and cyber incident management. Prior to re-joining Abraxas in 2014, she served as Chief Operations Lead with General Dynamics, where she led the technical execution of several cyber security projects. During her previous tenure with Abraxas she served as both a Program Manager and Lead Data Architect. Ms. Welsh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

 

BARRY MCMANUS | Senior Technical Advisor

Mr. McManus served 26 years in the Intelligence Community as a leading expert in deception detection, behavioral assessment, interviewing, and interrogations. He served for more than 10 years as a CIA Chief Polygraph examiner and interrogator, working against terrorists, hostile intelligence services, and other high threat targets. He has conducted extensive research on the uses of the polygraph and developed sophisticated interview and interrogation techniques. Mr. McManus has developed and implemented training programs within the FBI, DHS, and the commercial financial arena in behavioral assessment, interviewing and elicitation in diverse cultures for law enforcement and intelligence organizations to include computer web-based training. Mr. McManus earned a BA in Sociology at Loyola University, Baltimore, MD; an MA in Organizational and Security Management at Webster University, St. Louis, MO; and a Doctorate of Arts in Higher Education at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. Mr. McManus was also recognized as an Oxford scholar and attended the prestigious Christ Church College at Oxford University.
